Regionally, St. Mark Catholic School is recognized by AdvancED, the parent organization of SACS CASI. AdvancED is the unified organization of the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI). AdvancED is dedicated to advancing excellence in education worldwide through accreditation, research, and professional services. SACS CASI schools share a unified, clear and powerful accreditation process designed to help schools continuously improve

St. Mark Catholic School is proud to be applying for national recognition by the The Blue Ribbon Schools Program that honors public and private elementary, middle and high schools that are either academically superior or that demonstrate dramatic gains in student achievement to high levels. In addition to being honored at a ceremony in Washington, DC, where each school receives a plaque and flag signifying their status, these schools serve as models for other schools throughout the nation.

School Advisory Council (SAC)

Advising the Principal on a wide range of issues that impact St. Mark Catholic School, the School Advisory Committee (SAC) assists with both short-term and long-range planning for Saint Mark Catholic School.

Issues addressed by SAC include: curriculum, marketing, grant writing, uniform policy, budget, tuition, scheduling and facilities maintenance. As SAC is advisory in nature, the final decisions for the school are made by the Principal and the Pastor. 

Members of SAC include the principal, pastor, parish members, faculty and parents/guardians of school students. 

The School Advisory Council meets once a month in the evenings, and time dedicated to SAC activities count toward school volunteer hours.
