The program offers supervised care including opportunities for arts and crafts, games, outdoor play, use of the computer laboratory and homework time. Included in the program is a snack and drink for each student who is in after-school care for a minimum of one hour each day.

Each parent is required to complete a Child Care Registration form for each child attending the child card program. There is a registration fee of $30 per child. In addition there is a required child care deposit of $100 per child. This deposit will be used to offset child care fees as they are incurred. Please note that these fees must be paid PRIOR TO the child staying in the after-school program.

When a child's remaining balance gets to $25, parents will be requested to increase their child's deposit back to $100. Parents will receive the deposit increase notice when they pick up their child and are expected to provide St. Mark with additional funds by the next day that their child uses the day care program. Checks should be given to either the school secretary or child care providers. Children will not be allowed to attend child care if their balance gets to zero as St. Mark does not have the capacity to invoice and collect outstanding child care debts.

St. Mark offers payment via credit card. There is a $3 convenience fee for each after-school transaction. The credit card machine is located at the School Receptionist's desk. Any credit balances at the end of the school year will be refunded, and mailed to parents in mid June.

The cost of child care is $4 per hour. You will be charged in 15 minute increments for the time your child spends in child care. If your child is not picked up by 6:00pm, a late fee of $5.00 will be charged for each 15 minutes that you are late in picking up your child, in addition to the child care charge.

Children attending after school child care should proceed directly to Room 123 and check in with after-school staff. After-school children are not allowed to be freely roaming around the school facility without proper supervision.

Children attending after-school care MUST be signed out by parent/person picking up child. The after-school staff will receive the St. Mark Catholic School Student Pickup Authorization Form you complete for your child, and abide by its contents. Identification may be required by the after-school staff prior to releasing your child.

CHILDREN WHO ARE NOT PICKED UP IN THE AFTERNOON BY 3:30PM WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE TAKEN TO AFTERNOON CHILD CARE AND BE CHARGED BY THE HOUR WITH A ONE HOUR MINIMUM.
