Foreign Language

St. Mark Catholic School currently has a teacher taught Spanish program in Kindergarten thru the 4th grades. 


In grades 5-8 each student will benefit from participating in and using the Rosetta Stone (www.rosettastone.com) curriculum which is the world’s leading language learning software.

This program combines advanced interactive technology with native speaker voicing and a rich visual environment to mimic the complete immersion process which is most effective for successful language learning. Each student will learn whole-language skills including listening, reading, speaking, and writing.

Beginning in the sixth grade the language choices are either: Latin, French, Spanish, German, Italian, or Chinese.


All 5th grade students are required to use the Spanish curriculum.
